Summary

Role: Teaching Assistant
Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 per annum + £1,000 Welcome Bonus
Location: Horley
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time Only

We are recruiting a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils, including those with additional learning needs, within a structured and nurturing school environment in Horley.

You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional wellbeing, and reinforcing learning under the direction of the class teacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Support behaviour management strategies.

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

  • Encourage independence and resilience.

  • Assist with differentiated learning activities.

  • Provide feedback on progress and classroom engagement.

  • Help implement curriculum activities across subjects.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Calm under pressure and adaptable.

  • Experience supporting children with SEN.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Safeguarding is paramount. All applicants will undergo enhanced DBS clearance.
