Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Finance Team at Hull City Council. If you are CCIB qualified and would like to be a senior member of our finance team, then this position is ideal for you.
This permanent role is well-suited to an individual looking to advance their career in finance, gain hands on experience in a busy public sector environment and gain access to future opportunities. We have flexible, hybrid working arrangements, with a requirement to attend the office two days per week, and we support career growth, knowledge and personal development.

As we work to deliver our Community and Council plans to secure the best for our 269,000 residents, the finance function is becoming more dynamic and influential.
We are looking for a highly motivated, positive, team playing finance professional to provide valued support and advice to a range of services. You will possess excellent accounting knowledge with an ability to interpret and analyse complex data along with a robust understanding of financial processes and procedures.
The Council is replacing its ERP financial management system and the postholder will play a key role throughout the implementation phases and beyond.
The successful applicant will have effective communication and analytical skills, working with diverse teams across a large organisation. As a leadership role within the finance function, this is an ideal opportunity to develop management and leadership skills.
