About the Role As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £16.37 for day shifts and £17.07 for waking night shifts. This position involves variable part-time hours per week and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time. We are recruiting for a small team of 5 part-time Care Support Assistants and 1 bank Care Support Assistant to share the below shift patterns: Term time Monday to Thursday – 4.30pm until 10pm Saturdays - 10am until 5pm Sunday to Thursday – 10pm until 8am (waking nights) Non-term time Monday to Saturday – 10am until 5pm Sunday to Thursday – 10pm until 8am (waking nights) Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs Assisting our client with their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible Providing companionship and emotional support Helping with household tasks and meal preparation Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities Administering medication when required What We’re Looking For To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need: A caring and empathetic nature Good communication skills A genuine desire to support others Basic IT and record-keeping skills A full UK driving licence is advantageous Experience in working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour would be an advantage – full training provided Additional Information Person-centred care is very important to us here at Your Life Your Way and you will have the opportunity to meet our client during the recruitment process.
