After School Playworker - Term Time Only
Stonegate C of E Primary School, Wadhurst (TN5 7EN)
16 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 3:15pm–6:00pm
Pay: £10.00–£12.21 per hour
We are seeking a friendly, reliable Playworker to join our after-school club team, supporting primary school children in a fun, safe and caring environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading fun games, crafts and play activities
• Building positive relationships with children aged 4–11
• Supporting a calm, inclusive and welcoming club environment
• Encouraging teamwork, confidence and social skills
• Supervising snack time and promoting healthy habits
• Ensuring safeguarding, behaviour and safety procedures are followed
• Working closely with colleagues and communicating with parents/carers
What we’re looking for:
• Aged 18+ (due to insurance and Ofsted regulations)
• Childcare, education or playwork experience (paid or voluntary)
• Friendly, patient and reliable approach
• Confidence managing small groups of children
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (but not required):
• Relevant qualifications or working towards one
• First Aid or safeguarding training
