We are seeking a Soft Services Manager to support the Facilities Manager in enhancing and transforming the client experience across the Bedford site.​

You will take ownership of the delivery of all FM soft services, ensure consistency across workplace touchpoints, and oversee the implementation of existing service concepts.​

This role is central to maintaining a high-quality, seamless service experience for employees, visitors and guests.

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive, confident and service-driven leader who can deputise effectively for the Facilities Manager and build strong stakeholder relationships.​

You will work in line with ISS and client values, ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement and a calm, customer-focused presence across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the delivery of all FM soft services, ensuring consistent high standards.

Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as the main point of contact for clients and contractors.

Line manage security, post room and cleaning teams, including performance, rotas and HR processes.

Ensure compliance with all H&S requirements, conducting audits and maintaining accurate records.

Support moves and changes planning, keeping floor plans and staff listings updated.

Maintain and implement site security procedures, inductions and emergency plans.

Proactively enhance workplace experience, identifying opportunities for service improvements.

Report service performance updates to the client and Facilities Manager, promoting a strong working relationship.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).

Experience within a customer-facing FM environment with strong client focus.

Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build relationships and influence at all organisational levels.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.

Confident using IT systems and producing accurate documentation.

Able to work flexibly, including out-of-hours support when required.
