Summary
In this role, you will ensure the successful delivery of Business Transformation through technical implementations and project management, 3rd line technical support, drive continual service improvement, and help shape the Council’s future technological landscape.
We’re looking for an individual who has experience with:
Proven project management experience within a recognised methodology (e.g. Prince2).
Experience delivering complex ICT technical solutions in an ITIL framework
Knowledge and experience of core ICT infrastructure including:
- Server and Storage Technologies
- Firewall Technologies
- WAN/LAN, routers and switching Technologies
- Virtualisation and Hypervisors
- M365 Cloud / Active Directory and Azure
Providing senior technical support for complex issues.
Experience in business transformation to ensure business efficiency and effective use of business systems.
Producing proposals, report, project plans, and business intelligence.
Developing and maintaining Technical Documentation, procedures, and training for hand over to the ICT Service Delivery Team.
The ideal candidate would be:
Educated to degree level or possess equivalent higher education or experience.
Ideally PRINCE2 Certified
Microsoft and Network qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
High level of organisational skills and ability to manage ICT projects to successful completion.
Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
What you need to know:
This role may require occasional work outside of normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, to support service and project delivery.

If you are shortlisted for interview, you will be invited to our Council Offices in Beeston. The selection process will include a 20 minute technical test followed by a panel interview (approximately 50 minutes) covering your experience and scenario-based questions.
