Workforce Supervisor - Waste & Recycling

Margate, Kent
Temporary (ongoing)
£33,528 per annum (£17.42 per hour)
⏰ 37 hours per week (rota between 05:00-20:00, 7 days)

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Supervisor with proven Waste & Recycling sector experience to lead frontline operational teams delivering essential community services.

This is a hands-on role where you will ensure safe, efficient operations and high service standards across a 7-day service.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the Waste & Recycling or Environmental Services sector
  • Supervisory experience within frontline/manual operations
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures
  • Clean driving licence (essential)
  • Confident managing staff performance, sickness, holidays and timesheets
  • Comfortable using CRM or mapping systems
  • Knowledge of HGV / 7.5t vehicles (desirable)
  • Train-the-Trainer (manual handling/lifting machinery) - desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate Waste & Recycling operations
  • Allocate workloads and resources effectively
  • Ensure health & safety compliance
  • Manage staff performance and attendance
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints
  • Conduct inspections and prepare service reports
  • Participate in emergency and call-out duties
