Summary
Deputy Nursery Manager – Up to £32,000
Our client provides early years education for children aged 0–5 in spacious, well-equipped rooms, with a large garden used for regular outdoor learning and play. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain standards, oversee staff practice, and ensure compliance across the provision.
Before You Apply
- You must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Recent experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or Senior Practitioner in a day nursery is required.

What You’ll Need
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)
- Proven experience in a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or Senior role within a nursery
- Strong working knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Experience supporting staff supervision and performance management
- Confidence managing the nursery in the Manager’s absence
What You’ll Do
- Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations and staff oversight
- Lead rooms as required, ensuring ratios and EYFS standards are met
- Monitor quality of teaching, learning and care across age groups
- Supervise, coach and guide practitioners and room leaders
- Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance
- Build professional relationships with parents and external agencies
