Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning all areas, including bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, satellite kitchen, toilets and sluice areas.
- Following infections control procedures to prevent cross contamination within the home.
-Emptying of bins.
Hoovering, cleaning and mopping of floors.
- Use of cleaning trollies, chemicals and equipment as outlined by risk assessments and safe working procedures.
- Laundering of residents clothing, linens, bedding and towels within the home.
- Ironing of clothes and bedding.
- Returning laundered clothing to residents' bedrooms.
- Reporting of faults with equipment.
Key Requirements:
MUST HAVE DBS
- Good Written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to follow instructions, schedules and complete tasks within allocated timescales.
- Awareness of; infection control Health and Safety Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
- Able to work alternate weekends and bank holidays to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Demonstrates understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.
- Is able to use equipment such as cleaning trolleys, laundry equipment, steam cleaners and hoovers.
