Summary
We are looking to appoint Night Residential Support Workers to work closely with children, helping them to feel safe, respected, confident and capable of achieving their best. The successful candidate will have a great character and a desire to make a positive impact on young children’s lives.
Prospective candidates should be able to demonstrate;
• A patient, caring, compassionate child-centred approach.
• Ideally you will be an experienced support worker who has worked in a residential setting and worked
with children with challenging behaviours
• You may be required to provide personal care, it would be beneficial for you to have experience of this as
well as medication handling experience
• To provide supervision and support of children in their residential settings with a range of domestic
activities such as cooking, shopping, cleaning and laundry
• To provide supervision of the service users at night, including behaviour management, medication handling
and carrying out household tasks when children are sleeping
• You will have excellent communication skills, as well as experience of report writing and record keeping
Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in challenging situations.
