Summary
You would be responsible for carrying out routine, reactive, and planned maintenance across our manufacturing plant. You will provide technical support to resolve process and equipment issues that cannot be resolved by operators alone.
The role involves both electrical and mechanical maintenance of production machinery to ensure the smooth, safe, and cost-effective operation of the manufacturing process. In addition, you will support general site and facilities maintenance, contributing to the overall upkeep of the premises.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine, planned, and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
Support production by resolving technical issues and minimizing downtime
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checks across plant and facilities
Conduct regular inspections to identify and prevent potential issues
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns
Undertake new site installations, both electrical and mechanical
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to prioritize workload
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Experience & Qualifications
Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment
Mechanically biased, multi-skilled engineer
City & Guilds qualification or time-served apprenticeship preferred
Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications advantageous
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings highly desirable
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Manual dexterity with hand tools and power tools
Basic welding skills preferred (training can be provided on site)
Ability to prioritize tasks and work to targets
Flexible approach with a willingness to learn new skills

Strong logical and analytical approach to problem-solving
Attention to detail with a proactive mindset
Good level of computer literacy
Ability to perform a wide range of multi-skilled manual tasks
Comfortable working at height when required
Effective team player with good communication skills

Working Pattern & Package
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Rotating shifts:
6:00am – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 10:00pm
Weekend cover and additional overtime as required
Overtime paid at an enhanced rate
