Are you passionate about supporting individuals to make lasting change? We're currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Substance Misuse Practitioner / Recovery Worker to join a well-established service in Liverpool on a 3-month temporary contract, with strong potential to become permanent.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality interventions to individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse.
As a Substance Misuse Practitioner, you will:
- Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs
- Complete comprehensive assessments and risk assessments
- Deliver structured key working sessions and recovery planning
- Provide harm reduction advice and support
- Facilitate referrals to partner agencies (housing, mental health, criminal justice, etc.)
- Contribute to safeguarding and risk management processes
- Support individuals through their recovery journey in a person-centred, trauma-informed way
- Experience working within substance misuse services
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction and recovery models
- Experience managing a varied caseload
- Confident in completing assessments and support plans
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent) are desirable but not essential with the right experience.
