Cook – 26hrs per week over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) – 8.30am to 3.30pm
Ryders Green Methodist Day Centre in West Bromwich is seeking a friendly and experienced Cook to prepare traditional, home-style meals for around 20 older people each day.
About the Role.
You’ll be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious traditional style meals such as roast dinners, cottage pie, and fish and chips, as well as a variety of pudding dishes. You’ll ensure food is prepared safely and hygienically, maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage stock, and complete all relevant food safety records.
What we are looking for.
• Experience cooking for groups, ideally in a care or community setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, reliable, and committed to providing great food and care.
