Summary
Aseptic Services Assistant - 12 Month Fixed Term
The position is for a fixed term 12 month Band 2 Aseptic Services Assistant working to support the Senior Aseptic Services assistants amongst a team of Assistants, Senior Technicians and Pharmacists who take pride in delivering a safe, effective and high quality service to our patients at the GWH.
The successful candidate will be involved in cleaning the aseptic suite, delivery of chemotherapy and stock maintenance ordering all within our newly built clean room facility.
We’re looking for a team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work within a clean room controlled environment with good literacy, numerical and computer skills who may also have previous training and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice, although training and competency assessment in aseptic skills will be provided.
Role Duties:
• Support the Aseptic Services Team in the effective, safe, and efficient day‑to‑day running of the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit (PASU).
• Assist with stock maintenance, including receipt, storage, rotation, and accurate record‑keeping of materials used within PASU.
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks and environmental upkeep to maintain a compliant cleanroom environment.
• Support the preparation and delivery of aseptically prepared or dispensed doses to clinical areas in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work within cleanroom facilities, adhering to all gowning, hygiene, and environmental control requirements.
