Summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking experienced and dedicated MRI radiographers to join our MRI team.

This is an exciting opportunity currently based at the King's Mill site, with rotation across all SFH sites, including the new CDC and MRI build. The MRI department will benefit from the introduction of the new state-of-the-art Philips Ingenia Ambition 1.5T system in the next 12 months, within an environment designed to offer the best service to optimize both staff and patients' experiences.

We also have exciting expansion plans underway to increase the MRI service across the Trust over the next 9 months, including the development of our new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) MRI at Mansfield Community Hospital.

The post-holder will work as part of a team consisting of radiographers, a trainee assistant practitioner, and imaging assistants to provide a 12-hour, 7-day service in the MRI Department. The successful candidate will develop specialized knowledge and expertise to produce high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment, while maintaining high standards of care.

Our service is supportive of advanced practice and leadership development.

This post is full time, worked as long days. Part-time will not be considered for this post.

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.

Not all of our roles are eligible for visa sponsorship. To find out which roles are eligible, please refer to the shortage occupation list found here:
