TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work within a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Colchester. The Role:As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
•
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and confidently
•
Build positive, professional relationships with students
•
Support pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with learning
•
Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
•
Experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, residential care, etc.)
•
Strong behaviour management skills
•
Calm, patient, and resilient nature
•
A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs
•
Ability to adapt quickly and think on your feet
Experience within an SEMH or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential – the right attitude and commitment are key.
