Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to lead and shape a driven and motivated multi disciplinary team, in the delivery of evidence based treatment for working age adults, who have severe affective and psychotic disorders. The teams offer support in a number of ways, drawing from the expertise in a variety of disciplines.

As the Team Manager, you will oversee a proactively supportive environment that values staff wellbeing, supervision and professional development. You will be actively involved in service development.

You will support clinicians in managing and treating caseloads of diverse service users, sharing and role modelling your clinical skills to help other with their development.

You will ensure that recovery principles remain embedded in the work of the team.

You will manage staff resource and have budget responsibility. You will be well supported in role with regular supervision and opportunity for professional development and leadership training.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure and with a desire for innovation. We are able to support agile working for staff, using all appropriate I.T equipment and support, and have a secure area for staff bicycles.

It should be noted that although some flexibility can be given, this post requires a high proportion of presence in the office.

To lead the staff team on a daily basis in delivery of a high quality, evidence-based community mental health service where we serve our local population to the best of our ability.

Ensure staff are operating within relevant legal frameworks. You will have the opportunity to shape your role but it will include oversight of staff supervision, treatment interventions. team duty, being manager on site of public building, meeting any agreed KPI's. You will use your clinical skills and knowledge to shape the service, support others in their development and have the opportunity to take on some clinical work yourself . You will work closely with the Advanced Practitioners in the team. You will be involved as needed in the complaints process and serious incidents reviews.

Be responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation of all patient care using the Dialogue + framework, and leading staff to provide the highest standards of care.

Ensure the reports provided by the clinical staff to support specialist placements for those with complex needs and for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers hearings are of a high standard and provide the necessary information in a timely way.

Provide specialist consultation and advice to the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team, clients and their families, user groups, statutory and non-statutory agencies.

Adopt an appropriate style with staff for achieving group objectives monitoring and evaluation workloads. Providing vision and inspiration through effective clinical leadership to ensure that the skills and competencies of staff are actively developed.

Be conversant and proactive with Government legislation pertaining to the Mental Health Act, CPA, National Service Framework, Clinical Governance and NHS Plan.

Work with the lead from the psychology, to ensure provision of therapeutic activities, ensuring a range of interventions are available for clients on a daily basis.

To liaise with other disciplines involved in the provision of therapeutic interventions on a regular basis to ensure seamless care for clients.
