Marine Engineer (057jc) - Holyhead, North Wales - £33 - £35k (DOE) + Overtime + Profit Share
Our client is seeking a Marine Engineer to join their established team in Holyhead. This is a shore-based role (non-seagoing) supporting the repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and systems on commercial workboats, pilot boats and patrol craft.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
The Role
• Repair, maintenance and installation of marine machinery and onboard systems
• Installation of mechanical equipment during vessel refits and construction
• Working with fuel, hydraulic and fresh water systems
• Fault finding and mechanical diagnostics
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to industry standards
• Working as part of a skilled engineering team
To be eligible for this role, you will need the following:
• Time served engineer (military or civilian apprenticeship)
• Strong mechanical engineering background
• Experience with hydraulic and fuel systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High standards of safety and workmanship
• Good team player
The ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong engineering background with experience of working on naval vessels
In return they are offering a good starting salary circa £33 – 35k, company pension, life insurance, sick pay, profit share and frequent overtime is also available.
