Summary
To work as an autonomous practitioner to provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment to a varied caseload, predominately in the outpatient setting To use evidence based practice, current guidelines and expert clinical reasoning to devise and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients, which may be highly complex in nature. To review and deliver treatment plans for inpatients, as required. To engage in regular supervision with the clinical team lead. To support with clinical problem-solving and provide managerial expertise for more junior clinicians within the team. To participate in CPD and other developmental activities and encourage all members of your team to do likewise. To educate the multi-disciplinary team in the trust on elements of therapy in your designated clinical area, and raise the profile of the therapy service. To work closely with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate excellent communication skills. To ensure that the therapy service in the designated clinical area is responsive to user requirements within the available resources and in accordance with directorate and departmental plans. To assist in the teaching and clinical supervision of students and more junior therapy staff, and to take an active role in multi-disciplinary teaching sessions within the pelvic health service.
