Maternity Cover - STARTING 1ST APRIL 2026 - 12 months Hours - 6 sessions per week Salary - to be discussed Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients ensuring high standards of patient safety and well-being. Duties Conduct thorough patient consultations to assess health conditions and medical histories (face-to-face, including home visits and telephone) Diagnose a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses using clinical expertise and diagnostic tools Prescribe medications and administer treatments in accordance with current guidelines Develop personalised care plans, including referrals to specialists when necessary Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives Contribute to prescribing safety, referral management, and QOF achievement Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with organisational standards on SystmOne
