Summary
Clinical Practice & Care Delivery Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery care to people with varied needs. Facilitate physiological birth and escalate concerns appropriately. Deliver care across the redesigned maternity unit and in community settings. Undertake risk assessments, clinical decision-making and emergency management. Support new born wellbeing, feeding and early bonding. Communication & Relationships Build strong, trusting relationships with women/birthing people, families and colleagues. Communicate clearly and sensitively, including in challenging situations. Promote informed choice and advocate for personalised care. Contribute to safeguarding processes and interagency working. Leadership, Supervision & Professional Standards Provide visible leadership within clinical areas and act up when required. Mentor and support students, newly qualified midwives and other staff. Demonstrate professionalism, maintaining registration and CPD. Model inclusive, compassionate and high standards practice. Quality, Governance & Safety Participate actively in audit, incident reporting and service improvement. Uphold Trust policies, including health and safety, confidentiality, infection control and documentation standards. Use resources responsibly and support equipment and stock management.
