Summary

Neway International are seeking two Senior Nursery Practitioners to join our client based with Bromley Council.

Location: Chestnut Grove, Penge, London, SE20 8PD
Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: 02/03/2026
Duration: (initially for a 3 month contract, extended after review)
Pay Rate: £13.91 PAYE / £18.00 Umbrella


About the Client
Bromley Council’s Children, Education & Families service provides high‑quality early years education and childcare across the borough. Their nurseries support children’s development, wellbeing and school readiness through safe, nurturing and stimulating environments.

The Role
This temporary role supports the nursery team in delivering high‑quality early years provision. The postholders will work directly with children, supporting learning, development and safeguarding in line with EYFS requirements. The role requires an early years qualification, strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy nursery environment.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, age‑appropriate activities

Promoting children’s learning and development in line with EYFS standards

Ensuring children’s safety, wellbeing and safeguarding at all times

Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

Observing, recording and reporting on children’s progress

Supporting daily routines including meals, personal care and transitions

Maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment

Working collaboratively as part of the nursery team

Candidate Requirements
Early Years qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)

Experience working in a nursery or early years setting

Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Reliable, professional and committed to high‑quality childcare
