About the role:

The University of Lancashire School of Dentistry requires a Dental Nurse to join our onsite clinic-based team.

Nurse roles within clinic provide chairside set up and support for the teaching programs including implantology, periodontology, endodontology, oral surgery and prosthodontics BDSi DeclinDent and clinical teaching classes. The post-holder will support and assist the range of clinicians onsite (Consultants, Dentist, Therapist, Hygienist visiting academics or students) whilst also providing pre and postoperative advice and instruction for dental procedures. They are also expected to assist in the preparation of clinical areas including instrument sterilization, cross infection control and all relevant information, equipment, and materials in readiness for the treatment of patients

About you:

The successful candidate will hold a National Certificate of the Examining Board for Dental Nurses or NVQ level 3 and be a GDC registered dental nurse. You will be required to work flexibly providing nursing across our clinical teaching activities, patient based regulated activities, supporting external epidemiology studies and oral health promotion.

The hours for these roles are typically 9-5 Monday to Friday. Candidates will need to evidence substantial experience in a busy dental environment, possess knowledge of dental software, preferably SOE and evidence of continuing professional development.
