We are currently recruiting for a Food Production Operative to join our team in Market Drayton. This is an exciting opportunity to
work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating production machinery safely and efficiently while ensuring products
meet customer specifications and quality standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the effective running of the production line, maintaining high standards of
health & safety, food safety, and operational performance.




Job Title: Skilled Food Production Operative

Shift Pattern: 5am - 5p or 06:00 - 18:00 4on 4off


Location: Palethorpes Bakery, Market Drayton, TF9 3AL

Salary: Earn between £12.54 and £13.77 per hour

Here at The Palethorpes Bakery we specialize in the production of sausage rolls and pies for all major UK retailers.




Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out pre-start checks in line with site controls and codes of practice, reporting any issues immediately to the Group
Leader

* Operate production lines and machinery efficiently and safely

* Ensure all products meet required customer specifications and quality parameters

* Take corrective action where necessary or escalate issues appropriately

* Maintain high standards of Clean As You Go (CAYG) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

* Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and engineering teams

* Liaise with engineers when machinery is not fully operational and accurately record downtime

* Work safely at all times in line with site Health & Safety policies and procedures

* Correctly use all provided PPE and safety equipment

* Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and accidents promptly

* Follow all company rules to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

* Adhere to all Food Safety and Quality regulations, hygiene standards, and company policies

* Maintain high standards of personal hygiene

* Ensure Clean As You Go practices are consistently followed





ABOUT YOU




* Numerate and literate

* Computer literate

* Good problem-solving ability

* Previous manufacturing experience desirable (but not essential)

* Fluent in spoken and written English
