About Us
Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our Home-Based Respite service in Tain provides support to carers by giving them a break, while ensuring the people they care for continue to get the help they need at home. We deliver person-centred support, helping people with their daily routines, meaningful activities, and practical tasks such as meal preparation, medication, and personal care, so they can maintain independence and stay engaged in familiar surroundings.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for people who are caring, reliable, and motivated to make a difference in their community. Full training is provided and, as a permanent Support Practitioner, you will be supported to achieve an SVQ in Health and Social Care while you work. You will:
Build strong, trusting relationships with people and their families
Support people with daily activities, including meals, medication, and personal care
We are looking for applicants with a driving licence, as you will travel to support people in rural areas, but non-drivers will also be considered.
We are looking for candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns, supporting people when they need it, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Example shift pattern: 7am – 3pm or 3pm –9pm
Can’t commit to part-time hours (16-30 per week)? We have Relief Support Practitioner opportunities available.
