Where will you be working?
M Group Highways
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?

- Three‑week work experience placements offered on the Suffolk Highways contract
- Placement length and structure can be adapted depending on the candidate
- Candidate interests, ambitions and availability will be assessed at interview to tailor the placement
- Candidates will spend short periods shadowing different teams across the business
- Opportunities to learn about team functions and day‑to‑day activities
- Possible areas to shadow include: communications, project management, construction, design, operations, performance, commercial

What you’ll bring

- Previous work experience is not essential, as this opportunity is aimed at individuals who may have limited or no workplace exposure
- Good communication skills would be beneficial
- Confidence in an unfamiliar professional environment
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new skills
- Well‑suited to anyone interested in engineering (civil or design), construction/infrastructure, or business
