Summary
Bodyshop Prepper required in the West Bromwich area
- Basic salary up to £45,000
- Hours Monday - Friday ONLY (7am - 3:30pm)
- Overtime availability (1.5x)
My client is a reputable automotive repair centre renowned for absolute perfection, quality repairs and all attention to detail to ensure all aspects of vehicle body repair.
The successful individual will prep vehicle panels prior to painting, including masking, removing corrosion, sanding, filling, priming and polishing. You will be able to assess and identify different finished coatings, You will ensure you quality check your work, ensuring there are no defects, and report any issues
The Bodyshop Prepper will:
- Preparing vehicles for paint – This will include masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
- Filler work
- Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels.
- Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed.
- Assisting with the training of junior members of the team.
- Have a high level of efficiency and attention to detail
- Be able to work in a small team and as an individual
- Quality check on completion to ensure there are no defects
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines
For your hard work as a Bodyshop Prepper, you will get the following:
- Up to £40,000 basic salary
- Monday - Friday ONLY
- 1.5X overtime

The Bodyshop Prepper you must have the following:
- Hold a minimum of 3 years refurbishment or accident repair experience
- Excellent prepping skills
- Have proven experience in delivering high-quality repairs
- Be confident in your ability and skills
- Be able to manage your own workload, working well as part of a team
- Able to meet targets and deadlines, working effectively under pressure
