Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client's modern service centre in Cardiff. This opportunity offers a competitive starting salary of £27,000 to £32,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, alongside a lucrative uncapped bonus scheme. The bonus scheme is paid at £15 per hour for every hour saved, with current technicians earning between £600 and £1,500 monthly.

Duties:
- Diagnosing faults across a wide range of vehicle makes and models using diagnostic testing tools
- Performing repairs and servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Conducting MOT tests, subject to qualification
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards
- Adhering strictly to Health & Safety procedures established by the company
- Providing detailed reports on vehicle condition, safety, and performance to the Service Centre Manager
- Ensuring thorough fault diagnosis and offering expert technical advice
Requirements:
- Ideally, qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Practical "time served" experience will also be considered, even without formal qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- A well-equipped toolbox for day-to-day tasks
- MOT qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify faults others may overlook
- Pride in delivering high-quality work with laser-focused accuracy
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
- One in four Saturdays, 8:30am to 4:00pm, paid additionally
