Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

This exciting opportunity will suit a candidate who demonstrates the following qualities, knowledge and skills:

• Ability to assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning.
• Manage other teaching assistants
• Represent teaching assistants at teaching staff/management/other appropriate meetings
• Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop
• Advise on appropriate deployment and use of specialist aid/resources/equipment
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, parents and other key stakeholders while acting as a role model and setting high expectations
• Develop and implement IEPs.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.
• Provide feedback to pupils, parents and other stakeholders in relation to progress and achievement.
