As a Junior Civil Design Engineer, you will work within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team and report directly to the Principal Civil Design Engineer. Your contributions will be vital in producing high-quality design solutions for electricity network assets, ensuring compliance with legislation and engineering standards. Collaborating closely with structural, electrical, and CAD engineers, quantity surveyors, and suppliers, you'll play a pivotal role in the creation, design, build, and commissioning of new assets. You'll have the opportunity to research innovative civil and structural engineering technologies, enhancing our projects and helping UK Power Networks Services remain at the forefront of safety, customer service, and efficiency for private asset design and build.

Enjoy a salary of £54,166 plus Inner London Allowance and a 3% bonus, with the flexibility of blended working after your probationary period. Your role will involve producing civil and structural designs for tender, construction, and commissioning, assisting in the preparation of technical, commercial, and contractual documents, and helping to eliminate hazards and reduce risk in accordance with UK Power Networks Services' standards. You'll be involved in assessing third-party construction works impacting electricity network assets and act as a technical liaison for successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, reasonable knowledge of civil engineering and building works within the utility sector, and experience with AutoDesk software for civil design. Experience in structural software, roadworks, drainage, substation structures, and related disciplines is highly beneficial.
