Summary

CNC Profiler (Night Shift)

Nottingham

Up to £18.80 per hour

Long-Term Position

The Role

As a CNC Profiler, you'll play a key part in producing precise steel components used in large‑scale infrastructure builds. You'll operate CNC profiling machinery and work closely with the production and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high‑quality output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC profiling machines (plasma/flame/laser depending on equipment)
  • Load/unload steel plate using overhead cranes
  • Interpret engineering drawings, cutting lists, and nesting plans
  • Monitor cut quality and maintain accuracy throughout production
  • Inspect finished components with measuring tools (verniers, tape, squares)
  • Record completed work usage tracking
  • Assist fabrication team when required

Essential Skills

  • Experienced CNC profiler (plasma, press brake, oxyfuel, or laser)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of steel grades, thicknesses, and fabrication processes
  • Confident using overhead cranes and lifting equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
