The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint three experienced, committed and enthusiastic teaching assistants who would welcome the opportunity of working in the new Radnor Special Resource Base for pupils with autism and social communication needs.
Your role will involve working with the SRB lead teacher and a higher-level teaching assistant to support learners in receiving a specially designed curriculum which places the child at the centre of the learning. You will support them to access learning in the base or in their mainstream class.
The role requires empathy, patience and previous experience of working with children, young people, or adults with specific additional learning needs. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a genuine commitment to the education and development of children on the Autism Spectrum/ have social communication difficulties.
