Whether you're starting out your career in care, returning to work, or looking for a fulfilling role that works alongside family life - this could be the perfect opportunity, and we would love to hear from you.
Your Role
The REaCH Service places person-centred care at the heart of everything we do, recognising the strengths of the Stockport residents we support. The role of a Reablement Support Worker is to support people in their own homes, 365 days a year, who are at risk of needing social care or increased levels of care. The aim is to help them regain functioning, maintain life skills, rebuild confidence, and promote wellbeing. The role also offers a stepping stone to independence by supporting people to regain lost skills, learn new ones, and adapt to the challenges that living independently can bring.
About You
You don’t need any qualifications or previous work experience to apply for this role, as full training is provided for the right candidates. What’s important are your values and your attitude towards working with people who need care and support, as well as commitment to want to work in social care, alongside being adaptable to an ever-changing demand.
Please note you will need to be able to commit to Full Time hours (35 hours) in the first month due to training and induction schedules.
If you enjoy working as part of a team, but are also able to work independently, this may be the job for you! We will also offer you training and support to be able to do the following tasks:
- Provide all types of personal care to people we support and make sure they are safe, comfortable and feel they have been treated with dignity and respect whilst they achieve their goals
- Write clearly and accurately in-service users daily records
- Safely administer medication as prescribed
- Follow our policies and procedures that keep you and the people we support safe
Applicants to this role must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes or be able to cycle and have access to a bike/e-bike.
Stockport Council holds a Visa sponsorship licence, but this can only be used for certain roles, and this campaign does not qualify.
