Your new role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all plant, equipment and site facilities. This includes completing both planned and reactive maintenance to minimise disruption to production and maintain high operational standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering frequency‑based Preventive Maintenance plans across all areas of the site.
  • Diagnosing breakdowns and carrying out efficient repairs to reduce downtime.
  • Supporting the installation of new equipment to organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement across equipment, plant and processes.
  • Calibrating instrumentation such as weighing systems, flow control and level indicators.
  • Providing technical support, training and guidance to managers, colleagues and contractors.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and following 5S principles within workshops and plant areas.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and monitoring equipment performance trends.
  • Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests to support production activity.

Shift Pattern (Weekly Rotation)This is a 38‑hour‑per‑week position, rotating weekly between:Early Shift:

  • Mon-Thu: 05:50 - 14:00
  • Fri: 05:50 - 13:00

Afternoon Shift:

  • Mon-Thu: 13:50 - 21:30
  • Fri: 12:50 - 19:00

What you'll need to succeed

  • Multi‑skilled background with a mechanical bias (electrical knowledge accepted).
  • Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work at height and handle tasks independently under pressure.
  • Strong awareness of quality and health & safety requirements.
  • Minimum C&G Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical qualification.
  • Instrumentation calibration experience (essential for electrical bias).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential for electrical bias).
  • IPAF and/or FLT certification.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive approach.
