As a Behaviour LSA, you will be responsible for providing dedicated support and guidance to students, focusing on their behavioural, social, and emotional needs. Your role will be to work closely with teaching staff, ensuring that students receive the tailored assistance they require to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and techniques to support students in regulating their emotions and behaviours
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, addressing their specific needs and helping them to develop coping mechanisms
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create and execute comprehensive behaviour support plans
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, and regularly communicating with parents/carers to ensure a cohesive approach
- Assisting in the creation of a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that fosters student success
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualities, including:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport and trust with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, enabling you to effectively navigate challenging situations
- A deep understanding of child development, behaviour management, and the factors that influence student learning and well-being
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the educational and personal growth of young people
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, while also being self-motivated and able to work independently
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent, are highly desirable
