- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic achievement
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with SEMH needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the overall assessment and reporting processes
- Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with educational best practices
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching Maths to students with SEMH needs, preferably in a secondary school setting
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs and the strategies to support their academic and social-emotional development
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to stay up-to-date with educational best practices
