Summary

Material Handler (Sennebogen) & Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator

Cardiff | Permanent | PAYE | 40-50 Hours per Week

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Material Handler (Sennebogen) & Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator for an ongoing position in Cardiff. This role offers the opportunity to join a busy recycling facility with a permanent contract available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-start checks and ensure machinery is safe and operational.

  • Operate Material Handlers (Sennebogen, Fuchs, Liebherr) or similar safely and efficiently.

  • Operate wheeled loading shovels and 360 excavators in line with site procedures.

  • Work to established protocols while adhering to cardinal safety rules.

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.

  • Comply with site health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Be prepared for due cause substance testing as required.

About You / Requirements

  • Previous experience operating Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels in recycling or similar facilities.

  • UK Driving Licence.

  • CPCS / NPORS or equivalent qualifications (desirable) for 360 Wheeled Excavator / Wheeled Loading Shovel.

  • Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.

  • Able to work 40-50 hours per week, including potential overtime.
