Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated colleague to join the Merchant Services Pricing Team, to help with the strategy and achieve the growth aspirations within the overall Merchant Services business.

About this opportunity:

As a Pricing Associate Director, you'll work closely with collaborators in Product, Platform, Fiserv, Finance and Marketing to define and implement the pricing strategy ranging from acquiring, add-on products, propositions, partnerships all the way to supporting Sales/ Relationship Management teams in their engagement with merchants on pricing.

You'll play a key role in helping to shape the future of pricing for the Merchant Services propositions which is at an exciting time of transformation. In addition, you'll also have oversight of pricing processes, controls, governance and any necessary systems changes relating to pricing.

This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the building of capability for Merchant Services which will position us to proactively manage our merchant portfolio and performance. The role sits within the wider Business Transaction Banking Pricing team and will provide opportunities to work on the wider BTB Product set.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop pricing strategies for Merchant Services add-on products and propositions

  • Manage the third party/ partnership commercial framework

  • Maintain and develop the terminal pricing framework and large deals process for bespoke terminal pricing

  • Redesign pricing processes and execute pricing controls as required

  • Drive implementation of any price related changes required on platforms with Product, Lab and Fiserv teams

  • Oversee merchant price monitoring (consumer duty, T&Cs, disclosure etc.) actioning where required

  • Support ad hoc merchant queries and rectifications relating to pricing

  • Support the development of performance management dashboards/ analytics and commercial insights

What you'll need:

  • Clear ability to apply a structured approach to problem solving in collaboration with a broad range of technical and non-technical partners to deliver market aligned pricing strategies

  • Excellent commercial awareness, communication, and relationship skills

  • Positive attitude, ability to take initiative and deliver exceptional customer outcomes

  • Ability to convey the story and utilise data in a manner participants understand and obtain buy-in

  • An understanding of merchant services products, propositions and partnerships is preferred

It would also be useful if you have:

  • An advanced level of data/ analytics skills and/or merchant services experience

  • Ability to utilise AI tools and knowledge of Python
