Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our family run garage, this role involves conducting vehicle inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and servicing standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements and manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose mechanical issues using various hand tools and power tools
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing on a wide range of vehicles
• Carry out safety inspections, roadworthiness assessments
• Assist with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify faults effectively
• Must be able to work part of the team as well as individually
Skills
• Strong mechanical knowledge with practical experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
• Proven experience as an MOT Tester
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Valid MOT – Class 4 / Class 7 testing licence recognised by the DVSA
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Knowledge of MOT testing procedures and relevant legislation
• Strong communication skills for liaising with team members as required

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 05.30pm
