Summary
We require the successful candidate to be highly focused, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate the appropriate competences for the role, work autonomously and have good communication skills at all levels. In return, they will be supported by the Senior Diabetes Specialist Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team: to provide specialist advice , support and education to the patient, relatives and careers. There will be opportunities for continuing professional development through different sources. The predominant focus of the post holder will be to assess, implement and evaluate diabetes patient care. In addition, the role will involve attending specialist clinics and providing education to healthcare professionals. These vacancies include working in our pump service, diabetes virtual ward and inpatient and outpatient services. To maintain clear lines of communication within the diabetes team, which includes the University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust and primary healthcare teams in order to facilitate appropriate and safe care of people living with diabetes being treated by the Trust.
