Summary

The University of South Wales (USW) is looking for a resourceful and innovative individual with experience of working in the development and monitoring of Degree Apprenticeships in England and Wales. We are seeking someone who can work with USWs academic faculties and the Further Education (FE) Partners within our Strategic Alliance to help grow our career-focussed offer. Given our footprint in England and Wales you will need an understanding of the FE context in Wales and the wider regulatory frameworks surrounding delivery in both England and Wales. USW has a considerable portfolio of applied programmes and work-based learning, and it aims to grow these. Our provision includes both Degree Apprenticeships in Wales and England which come with separate reporting requirements and structures.

This is a full-time, permanent post based in Pontypridd, in the Department of Engagement, Research & Commercialisation. The role holder will manage and co-ordinate designated work strands between faculties, USWs FE strategic alliance, quality & reporting, finance and relevant external bodies, providing advice and updates on developments, delivery, compliance and improvement of work in England and Wales. The Partnership Manager will report to the Head of Further Education and Skills Partnerships, attending relevant faculty, alliance and institutional boards and workstreams, and providing support with reporting and planning around current and future provision. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the changing policies relating to apprenticeships and the wider regional and national skills agenda, will be essential for this role, ensuring confident engagement with employers, professional bodies and regulators.
