Summary
**Freelance Contracts Manager – Government Projects (6‑Month Minimum Contract)**
£350–£450 per day | Immediate Start | Office‑Based with Some Home Working | Site Visits Twice Weekly
A specialist subcontractor delivering government projects is looking for an experienced Freelance Contracts Manager to manage installation teams and oversee multi‑site construction operations. This role suits someone confident working across installation management, site management and subcontractor coordination. You will work between the office, home and live sites twice a week, ensuring smooth delivery across multiple projects.
**Responsibilities**
• Manage installation teams, site managers and subcontractors across multiple live sites
• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring quality, safety and compliance
• Plan and programme installation works, labour and schedules
• Coordinate and sign off installations, ensuring accurate delivery
• Ensure RAMS are completed, reviewed and followed
• Act as the main point of contact for the principal contractor
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance
• Support reporting, progress tracking and delivery on projects up to £2m
• Work across multi‑site installation and construction programmes
**Candidate Requirements**
• Experienced Contracts Manager from a subcontractor or main contractor background
• Strong installation management and site management experience
• Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
• Confident managing multiple sites and teams
• Able to work independently across home, office and site environments
• HVAC, M&E, fit‑out or installation‑led backgrounds also considered
