Summary

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Mid Kent Planning Support for a Land Charges Assistant to join a small but busy team responsible for logging and processing Land Charge searches on behalf of Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells.

As a Land Charges Assistant, you will be supporting the team by handling all Searches received electronically, logging them onto a computer system, liaising with Solicitors and Agents in dealing with queries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hard working, accurate, and can interpret maps and plans as well as manage daily work folders.

This is a part time position being offered on a 1-year fixed term contract, working 20 hours per week. (Half days Monday to Friday)

The post is offered on a remote working basis with occasional travel to Maidstone House, as required.

About You:
You will need to have good customer service skills, time management skills, and be able to work to tight deadlines, as well as take ownership of queries and problems through to resolution.

You will gain experience in various aspects of Local Land Charges which includes reading information received by solicitors/search companies, confirmation of fees, and accuracy of plans against these searches; and also have the responsibility for logging these into the computer database system.
