Maths Teacher – Full-time, temp to perm role starting April 2026

Duties as Maths Teacher:

  • Teach Maths full time across relevant secondary year groups
  • Deliver engaging lessons that support reasoning, problem‑solving, and numeracy
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behaviour
  • Assess progress and provide constructive verbal feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative teaching practices
  • Support pupils in developing confidence and independence in Maths
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with secondary Maths teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering the curriculum
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Able to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
