Customer Service we are proud of….that’s our goal.

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a real difference to your community?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team and support residents across the Winchester district.

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Customer Service Advisor who takes pride in providing high-quality service. You’ll need to be proactive, enthusiastic, organised, a great team player, and committed to getting things right for our customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to use your initiative, problem solve and find effective solutions.

Based at our centrally located Colebrook Street offices in Winchester, you’ll play a key role in our busy, fast-paced reception for at least two days a week, as well as in our customer service centre. You’ll be the first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries by phone, face to face, email, and through our online channels supporting customers with many of the Council’s core services.

Full training will be provided; however, experience in a customer-focused environment and a genuine desire to deliver excellent service are essential.

Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills and be proficient in the use of Outlook, telephone systems, and CRM software. A good level of IT literacy is therefore required.

Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
(1-hour lunch break included)

If you’re looking for an exciting opportunity then this is the role for you. In return, we offer an excellent package of benefits including:

- Employer paid health cash plan
- Salary sacrifice scheme for cars and bikes
- 26 days annual leave per year rising to 33 days - dependent on length of service
- Option to buy up to 5 days additional annual leave
- Free parking (during work hours) at any Winchester Park and Ride
- Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme
- Discounts at a range of major high street brands and the two leisure centres in the district
- Season Ticket loans
- Excellent working environment
- Support for continuous professional development
