Due to our countryside location, there is NO public transport to or from the resort.
Applicants must have access to their own reliable transport (car, motorbike, etc.) to travel to and from work. This is essential.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied and active role where no two days are the same. You will play a key part in ensuring our grounds, lodges,
facilities and event spaces are maintained to an exceptional standard, contributing directly to our guests’ experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Respond to and log maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution
* Support sewage works and monitor systems to ensure effective operation
* Conduct regular water testing in all lodges
* Maintain painting and general aesthetic upkeep across the resort
* Keep car parks and surrounding areas clean and presentable daily
* Empty bins across lodges, car parks and fishing ponds (including dog bins)
* Maintain bin recess areas
* Act as first point of contact for maintenance concerns, escalating where required
* Clear cigarette ends and maintain ashtrays at main entrances
* Remove debris from lodge and resort exteriors
* Clean and maintain signage throughout the resort
* Manage weed control across the grounds
* Clean, fuel and maintain the company van weekly
* Assist with event and wedding set-ups (chairs, furniture, layouts)
* Support other departments when required, including the Sports department
* Conduct on-site safety inspections in line with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations

About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience in a similar maintenance or grounds role
* Has experience using power and hand tools
* Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Has basic plumbing, gardening or joinery knowledge
* Holds a full driving licence (required to drive the company van on site)
* Is reliable, organised and takes pride in maintaining high standards
