Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our takeaway team at The New Celtic Restaurant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role: greet and serve our customers, prepare orders and support kitchen operations. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for food preparation and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment!
Duties:
Serving customers & taking orders
Food preparation - ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Support chefs and kitchen staff by providing help during busy periods, including basic culinary tasks.
Perform basic maths calculations - cash handling, taking payments and giving change; portioning of food and inventory management.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Work as a team with colleagues to ensure service standard are maintained.
Qualifications:
Time management skills.
Experience in food preparation (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge of food safety practices (preferred but not essential)
Basic maths skills.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn!
