About the Role


Are you a confident and motivated HLTA looking to make a real difference? We're working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Barnsley who are seeking a talented HLTA to join their team. You'll be supporting a vibrant mixed Year 5/6 class, helping pupils thrive as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.This is a fantastic long-term opportunity where you'll play a key role both in the classroom and across targeted small-group interventions.
What You'll Be Doing

  • ⭐ Leading focused booster groups to accelerate pupil progress
  • ⭐ Providing strong in-class support alongside the class teacher
  • ⭐ Delivering engaging lessons using pre-planned materials on several afternoons each week
  • ⭐ Confidently stepping in to teach UKS2 content when needed, ensuring continuity and high-quality learning

What We're Looking ForWe'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • ✔ A qualified HLTA with experience in Upper KS2
  • ✔ Someone with excellent classroom presence and the confidence to adapt quickly
  • ✔ Skilled at balancing small-group interventions with whole-class teaching
  • ✔ Able to commit to working Tuesday-Friday on a long-term basis
