Summary

Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a reliable and qualified Maintenance Electrician for contract based in Fareham. This role is essential for ensuring the ongoing operational efficiency and safety of a high-profile government site.

Role Overview
  • Pay Rate: £24 an hour

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.

  • Contract start: 23rd February 2026

  • Shift Patterns: You will rotate between two shifts:

    • Early: 07:00 - 15:30.

    • Late: 09:30 - 18:00. Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Maintenance: Execute day-to-day electrical maintenance and repairs within a professional office environment to ensure business continuity.

  • Safety & Compliance: Perform routine inspections and testing in accordance with current electrical regulations and safety protocols.

  • System Oversight: Support the maintenance of onsite electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.

Requirements
  • Vetting & Security: The successful candidate must hold a valid Basic DBS certificate issued within the last 3 months.

  • Site Access: You must be able to pass a specific vetting process to allow for unescorted access on-site.

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance, with a focus on high-quality service delivery and safety.
