We are recruiting Support Workers for Cameron who lives in her own home in Dudley.

About Cameron
Cameron enjoys a wide range of activities including high rides at theme parks, visiting safari parks and zoos, exploring Sealife. She likes doing crafts like diamond art, pottery painting, and tie-dye and would like to learn how to use her Cricut machine. She has recently taken up paddle boarding and would love a staff member to join her on the local lake.

Cameron loves attending dog shows and training her assistance dog. She attends her local church and some singing groups. She’s passionate about drama, participating in a group with singing and dancing. Cameron is a big fan of Christmas and birthdays, she enjoys both time alone and with her family, and she thrives with the right staff.

Pattern: 12-hour shifts, 10:00 – 22:00 and 22:00 – 10:00.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Support Worker to assist Cameron with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. The role includes supporting Cameron in accessing community activities, education, and employment, while promoting independence, confidence, and well-being. You will administer medication, maintain accurate records, and work closely with healthcare professionals and family to implement care plans. Providing emotional support, companionship, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for Cameron are key aspects of this role.

About you
Previous experience in a care or support role is a plus but not required.
Experience with caring for/ handling dogs is desirable
Makaton 1 or 2 is desirable
A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake relevant training, including first aid, manual handling, and safeguarding.
Full driving license and access to a vehicle is required for this role.

Full training will be provided through Seco Supports induction programme and online learning. Full referencing and a full enhanced check of the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this position.
